- I'm trying to look after the planet while also looking after my family and working part-time. To this end we have started to grow some veg and we recently started to keep chickens for eggs. The chickens have proved to be an endless source of amusement so far. We'll see how the veg turn out. We're also doing our bit with recycling and trying to avoid excessive waste, buying local and/or organic produce as well as fair trade goods when we can. The thing I haven't cracked yet is cutting back on car use, although I don't use it every day.

Hi, I found your blog through the free burma list. I found it very interesting (not only the cheap cola tricks) since we're also thinking about some of the same topics. I added your RSS-Feed to my reader and look forward to read some more in future times... I also had a look at the Generous Town website - inspiring!
I'm Swiss but my father is from Jersey. And we lived in the UK (high wycombe) for 3 years - way back when I was small.
