Better than TV

We've just spent an hour or so being entertained by the foxes across the road. It's quite as good as Springwatch as they poke their heads out of the grass, step into the road and then quickly back on the pavement as a car approaches. Sometimes two of them sit there watching the cars. We saw four this evening. We presume the two smaller ones are this year's cubs. One of them has a short tail and little black 'socks', so I'm calling him Stumpy. Two wood pigeons had a narrow escape.
